WHY ARE HOTEL WEBSITES SO DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE AROUND?! it took me TWO NIGHTS to book a night's stay for my dad. and in the process, i almost died. or killed my very beloved, sexy, laptop. choose one. this is how the process went:
enter website -> choose dates -> CANNOT find necessary details -> almost dies trying to find out. survived the process, but did NOT find necessary details required -> ignores the details required &carries on with reservations -> keys in all the necessary details required for reservations -> clicks 'continue' -> reservation error -> amends what was required -> clicks 'continue' -> RESERVATION SESSION TIMED OUT (what?! after only staying on the webpage for at most 7 minutes?!) -> given a link which says: "let's start over!" -> clicks the link -> sent back to the hotel homepage -> keys in details required to find back the hotel in the country -> enters website -> shown the sign: "RESERVATION IN PROGRESS" (wtf? i thought they said it timed out.) -> ignores sign, and progresses to choose dates -> clicks 'continue' -> SENT BACK TO ORIGINAL PAGE with everything that i have keyed in, INCLUDING THE LINK WHICH SAYS "LET'S START OVER!". AND GUESS WHAT. THE CYCLE CONTINUED, BECAUSE I CLICKED THE LINK AND WAS SENT BACK TO THE START, WHICH WAS THE HOTEL HOMEPAGE, AND I KEYED IN ALL THE DETAILS AGAIN &THE SAME "RESERVATION IN PROGRESS" SIGN POPPED UP IN MY FACE, AFTER WHICH IT WENT BACK TO "LET'S START OVER!", WHICH MADE ME WANT TO THRAAAASH MY POOR LAPTOP WHO ALMOST HAD TO DIE FOR A STUPID WEBSITE.
okay. rant over.
i have now successfully made a booking on a hotel website &am exceedingly proud of myself.
