en route;
this weekend has been a weekend of treats (so far)!
spent friday night with the two michelles &Pat, michlim's new thai friend from NIE, who also very kindly treated us to drinks &sent us home like a very gentlemanly guy would, followed by a nice tea treat from tyler on a lazy saturday afternoon (:

thanks to these awesome treats from tyler at his restaurant, one tanjong @one-north! (:
thank God for blessing me with awesome friends (:
picnic @zhen's place instead of botanics, which ended up being a really fantastic idea because it started raining not long after we set up our tiny feast (: thankfully, the sun came out a short while after &we managed to play short rounds of touch rugby despite our fouls &penalties cos of differing rules between touch &contact rugby (i.e. guys vs girls) HAHA.
plus. indian poker really isn't much fun without shots &being allowed to pee, so we gave up &went to play munchkins (WHICH I WON MUAHAHAHAHAHA)
happy deepavali everyone!
i know i definitely had a great time <3 after a long baking hiatus,
i'm back!

in preparation for the gang's Deepavali picnic tmr, i decided to bake :D
happy early Deepavali, everyone! (: in preparation for next week's Deepavali meet with the gang,
i went snooping around martha stewart trying to find new recipes or new decoration ideas. it's abit hard for Deepavali, as they don't really celebrate it widely abroad, but hey. one can always improvise.
so anyway,
i came across something i found quite awhile ago, but completely forgot about:

stock your own Home Bar! sounds cool eh?
unfortunately i'm far from completing this checklist, but it'd be worth a shot in future ;P
recipes call! my new cake pan is waiting for me.
hahaha. recently,
i've been having really low tolerance for spoilt kids, &it's been seriously getting on my nerves.
makes me worry what will happen next time if i ever have kids, &i really hope i won't end up spoiling my own child in future. if that happens, i will probably look back at this entry &weep at my incompetence. or something.
on a lighter note, life's been picking up bit by bit.
i (finally) met up with the awesome bunch of friends who entered uni with me. we went through quite a few orientations together, went through sleepless nights &sufferings together, and most of all, they were the same bunch who were there when i was down &out, just before school started. yay for friends like eunice, ying, sidney, felle, dud, hanjing, &rachel, who even went through A Math &E Math tuitions with me back in secondary school. haha.
sigh.
i wish i was a freshman again. i've come to a stage in my life, where i really need to find my place in the world.
1955-2011

R.I.P. Steve Jobs
"is it the iPod man died?" (my 5year old neighbour on Steve Jobs, 2011) so i'm back from my trip,
and yes, i've definitely done a lot of thinking, and a lot of assessing.
i dare say i've come back a different person, both materially (HAHA), emotionally &mentally, so i don't really know what to make of it. i'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing, so only time will tell i guess.
right now i'm tempted to do something,
the very same something that might possibly make me regret for the rest of my life.
