en route;
an eye infection really isn't a serious thing (even though your eyelid swells up &so on), but good friends don't let their friends suffer from eye infection by themselves! hoho.
#1 lunch with keith at burgershack (:
met up with an old donkey-like friend, and while we caught up briefly on the old times, we also caught on the times we missed out, which showed stark similarities, especially since we both took the same course. hoho. some things never change!
#2 the beloved best friend forsook (somewhat a pun, if you know her name HAHAHA) dinner at home &came to visit me (:
#3 the ex-colleagues (aaron, jinghow &nicole) detoured after dinner (yes, i cancelled on them) &came over to find me WITH BEER!
(:
"I don’t understand the world, nor my place in it. Books hold answers. So maybe if I read a little bit more — just another book on string theory or economic development — perhaps there, on page 230, in the second paragraph, there’ll be the missing piece. This theory is admittedly crazy and hardly meant literally. But the only way to disprove it is to read everything; if after I’ve scaled and rappelled down the entire edifice of human knowledge, a unified theory of hearts and minds and the physical world remains elusive, only then will I admit defeat. But for now, I read so that I don’t die: As long as there’s a book to finish, I feel immortal."
