en route;
so i've been stuck at home since yesterday,
and feeling ultimately tragic nursing a bad throat, a bad nose, and a fever.
plus, i got scolded by my doctor for going for the run as well. i quote, "you could've dropped down, had a heart attack, and that'd be the end of you!" :/ perhaps it wasn't such a fantastic idea to go running after all. at the same time, apparently being sick heightens some senses, because while i tried to sleep last night, i was woken up by sirens, yelling, and car engines that sounded like they were revved to the point of racing.
on a happier note,
thanks to everyone who has showered me with care &concern by constantly texting/calling to check up on me, and thanks to bee, who happily brought my hard drive &porridge over so i wouldn't feel so sad (:
happy tuesday, everyone!
tomorrow will be a better day. zzzz.
terry fox run 2013! (:
thanks to pris, namirah, selamat, faisal, melsie &her wonderful daughter, angela for the good run!
plus, i've been craaaaazily busy at work, and to add on to that, i just woke up this morning to a horrible, terrible nose, &i thought i could run it off, but apparently not :/ i'm now sneezing till my head feels like it's going to explode, i definitely can't smell (or taste) anything, &i can't even sleep cos i can't stop sneezing long enough to fall asleep. zzzzZZZ
this. is. most. tragic.
on a happier note,
to my wonderful, crazy, scary, awesome friend: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHLIM (:
bon voyage, fats!
sorry i couldn't send you off, but i'm sure you had more than enough company ;)
come back soon! (:
on an unhappier note,
i honestly wish we lived in a world where people would learn to keep quiet &mind their own business, rather than sticking their noses into things. only my good friends deserve to stick their noses in, so the rest of you should just leave me alone.
happy tuesday everyone!
monday is finally over. work, work, work.
on monday, i went to work.
on tuesday, i went to work.
on wednesday, i went to work (but ended the day with an awesome family dinner! WHOOOOPEE).
today, i went to work.
tomorrow, i will go to work.
what an exciting week.
“I'm sorry, but I don't get it. If we're supposed to ignore everything that's wrong with our lives, then I can't see how we'll ever make things right.”
- A.S. King, Please Ignore Vera Dietz
perhaps.
just perhaps. "It’s so funny how the mere sight of a boarding pass can change so much. Holding that golden ticket, covered with the dates and times and airport codes which will change your life, it feels like you’re about to take a leap off a tall building with a parachute which may or may not open on the way down. It’s hard not to feel that giddy drop in your stomach when you realize, “This is it, I’m finally leaving.” Even the airport itself, as sterile and fluorescent-lit and fast food-scented as it is, becomes a sort of temple of new beginnings. The endless lines and exhaustive security are rituals which must be performed in order to deserve the divine privilege of changing locations. There is a very special feeling, a slight dizziness, in walking through an airport in early morning, tickets in hand."

congratulations on your beautiful wedding,
and may you have a blessed life together, filled with nothing but love, care &happiness for each other <3
to eugene, it is amazing how grounded you've become, especially since knowing xh, and it's amazing how you've changed (for good, definitely!) and grown since knowing you from junior college (: we may not speak as closely as we did before, but somehow no matter how far we drift, i always know that you're there whenever i need someone to turn to, and i'm here whenever you need as well, and that matters more than anything else (:
have a very blessed 2013, everyone!
may we grow &walk with God every step of each day (:
